Online registration is available throughout the year via our website, or you can stop by our on-site office.
2 weeks prior to the scheduled start date of your class, first time applicants will be required to come by our main office in Cubao to fill out an in-house registration form, followed by an interview with our Student Advisor.
Current and returning students can either schedule an audition for their next course online using their student login on our website, or by contacting their Student Advisor.
Admission into the Tier 1 program is open to everyone, however, admission into all other progrsms is strictly audition-based.
Classes are limited to a maximum of 13 students per class.
Occasionally, we’ll bend the rules and accept a couple more, but this is on a case-to-case basis.
Prior acting experience is not a requirement; just an open mind and a desire to do the work.
Classes start each and every month from February 1st and end October 31st.
The school then has a 3 month break, allowing the faculty to go through their own training in New York and L.A., in order to keep our teaching methods current by international standards.
Be sure to check the online calendar and your enrollment details for exact class times.
We do not hold workshops.
The kind of training Actor’s Studio East offers cannot be learned in a 4 hour seminar.
Returning students ARE encouraged to attend the APT even if not currently enrolled in a full course.
Classes will be held 3-4 days per week. Students are allowed 2 days absence throughout the entirety of the course.
We believe in a hands-on approach, less talking and lectures, more action.
Classes can be intense and full of explosive, emotional episodes.
An important part of the process is ridding the student of bad habits and pre-conceived ideas about what acting “should be”.
Mistakes will be made, boundaries will be pushed, and feelings will get hurt.
Emotional situations & confrontation are the foundation of organically developing as an actor.
All drama and conflict remains within the classroom and should not leave the stage.
Do not bring it home with you or you will go insane.
